Chuck Romano has really captured the history of this now little-known magician, Paul Rosini. Paul, who basically stole his name from Carl Rosini, had a single-minded purpose in life to become the greatest magician in the world — and he did.You are taken from the time before he was born all the way to his tragic early death. And, along the way, you'll meet the most famous of the magicans of that era. Paul's path crossed Harlan Tarbell, Dai Vernon, Jack Channin, The Zancigs, Bertram, Malini, Okito and more — even Carl Mauldin (the actor and his close friend).
The second half of the book is Paul Rosini's magic, including his famous Thumb Tie. You'll learn some good magic here, even though it's very old. (Perhaps, you'll bring it back!) Chuck also includes a reprint of the out-of-print Paul Rosini's Magical Gems — good magic that will keep you busy for a while. (It's mostly cards.)
320 pages, hardcover.
