Effect: The magician has a spectator remove his coat and examine a knife. The magician then asks the spectator to hold his coat out right in front of him as he places a target over the front of the coat.

Without any warning, the magician takes the knife and thrusts it through the coat and the target! To the spectators relief and the surprise of the audience, the coat is perfectly unharmed, but the target is completely destroyed!
