The Classic Insurance Policy with a Monkey!

Effect: Pets are taking over the world! There are pet doctors, pet hospitals, pet cemeteries and even pet psychiatrists! And now there is pet insurance! Since I am doing a trick about pets, I have taken out pet insurance to pay me in case I fail to perform this miracle. It says here that, if I fail to do this trick correctly, this pet policy will pay me ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!

A spectator selects an animal card from a deck. The card is lost back inside the deck and the deck is placed in the magician's pocket. You remove one card from your pocket and announce that the chosen card was a DUCK! No, you open up your insurance policy and read that it should have been right. You pull out another card and announce another animal. you are wrong again! The insurance policy asks the spectator to let you know what card was chosen. The spectator says it was a MONKEY!

Well then, I should be receiving my money very soon. The policy states that I need to continue on the next page. These policies can get rather lengthy and long winded.

You open up the rest of the policy to reveal that in fact you have a large picture of a MONKEY!

Those clever insurance people! They think of everything!
